In 2011 we have seen overall category growth of twelve percent from year to year making it one of the standouts in our packaged grocery department. ECO products have been the leaders in this growth and we have continually seen new and increased interest in their offerings. The ECO line has experienced growth of over 300% in the last four years on items offered throughout that period. When combined with new products that have been added, gross revenues have grown by over 1000%.

We rely on ECO for the integrity of their products and close attention to the manufacturing process. Raw foods are not regulated by any third party in the way that organics or fair trade products are. However, the raw foods consumer is looking to stores like BriarPatch to offer assurance that products offered as raw meet certain standards in purity and in preparation.
